From Spencer
This is Spencer, the father in the show. Thank you so much for your comments about the show and our family. As portrayed in the show, we love to spend as much time with our children as possible. I have realized that someday that my children will be come as I am and that's a sobering thought. It helps me to change things about me that I may not like. Doing this show has been an incredible journey for us and hopefully many of you who watched it. The things you saw were real, just as they happened. There was no staging or coaching and we were very pleased with how it turned out. Hopefully we showed that family is the most important thing in our lives and those relationships are the only things we will take with us when we leave this earth. I am honored to be your friend and would love to answer any questions you have about our family and how we do things. Lots of love.

Dianne, Thank you for your
Dianne, Thank you for your kind comments. The British teens were definately different to our local youth. However, I was so happy to see that the British Teens actually really enjoyed their interaction with our youth. They made some good friends.
It is so good to hear that there are good families like yours in other parts of the world. If there is ever anything I can do to help you or your friends, I am happy to help.
I just watched this episode
I just watched this episode on BBC catch up tv today. I'm a South African expat living in the UK now and have been so struck by the absolute lack of standards here in the UK. We are so much stricter in SA and even the kids in the church here are wild compared to what we had come to expect from the youth.
One of my councellors recently moved here from Colorado and said how she had always pictured British children and these well behaved, dignified beings. She has been so shocked.
You seemed genuinely shocked that Hannah has a baby, and yet sadly, that is the norm here. Everywhere you go, you see teen moms. It has allot to do with the benefits system here, if you have a child, technically you are an adult, and many girls see it as a "quick payday" and a chance to get out of the house.
I was really glad to see the BBC be respectful of our faith, and cringed every time either of the kids swore. I imagine where you are, there is not a huge amount of outside world influence, that must be nice.
I have tried to look back on this blog, but could not find the answer, how is it that you were chosen?
